Oh boy, it’s getting late, and I’m on my way to Restaurant Depot. Believe it or not, I’m actually typing the very words you’re reading outside of Hot D***a, yet during business hours. This has never happened before!

What can I say, ground breaking moments happen all the time when you’re part of the Hot Blogma community…

Yesterday, a customer of mine who I’ve become fairly well acquainted with over the past two years, shared a stirring revelation. This man, who is now an I/T guy for Kirkpatrick and Lockhart went by “Spanky” in college and ran “Spanky’s Hot Dog Shop” out of his dorm room. Anyone who went to college with me can attest that this is a man to whom I can relate.

The only difference is that I gave hot dogs away and he charged for them. In any case, our friend Spanky learned an important lesson during his junior year at Robert Morris. That lesson is something I’ll share with you tomorrow, along with Spanky’s unique cooking techniques, because right now I really do have to go to the Depot.

All this reminds me of a very funny story about a durian…
