Beginning February 12 at noon, Franktuary’s Lawrenceville location will show a series of televised Olympic hockey games, including several that begin at 7:00 am or 7:30 am. The early morning schedule kicks off when Team USA faces off against Slovakia on the 13th of February at 7:30. Additional early morning games will be shown on February 14th through 16th, February 18th and 19th, February 21st, and February 23rd. Many games that will be televised within Franktuary’s normal operating hours will also be shown at the restaurant, as will other Olympic events.

Tournament highlights include a matchup between the United States and Russia on February 15th at 7:30 am that will see Dan Bylsma, Paul Martin, and Brooks Orpik attempt to shutdown a high-powered Russian attack led by teammate-turned-foe Evgeni Malkin.  The Gold Medal Game will take place on February 23rd at 7:00 am and many are predicting Team Canada, led by Sidney Crosby and wingman Chris Kunitz, to repeat as Olympic champions.  A complete schedule of the games Franktuary will screen can be found at the bottom of this post.

Franktuary owner and hockey enthusiast Tim Tobitsch, who views the early morning screenings as a service to the community, will reward fans who come to any 7:00 am matchup with complimentary coffee and donuts.  The restaurant’s bar will also serve drinks during all games Franktuary televises and a special snack and breakfast menu will be offered during early morning games.  As the tournament progresses, a menu honoring the competition’s most successful entrants will be developed.
