Today Hot D***a received a complimentary Terrible Towel from PNC Bank. That was nice. It’s in our window, and because of that, I now feel like an authentically Pittsburghian person. There’s really not much more to it, is there? I’m pretty sure you can do whatever you please in this city, and as long as you’re a Steelers fan, you’re in.

Where I come from there are probably more people who care about football than there are people in Pittsburgh, period. The thing is there are most definitely even more people than that who don’t care at all. I’m pretty sure some New Yorkers don’t know that their city has a football team, let alone two of them. You can pick pretty much any special interest and make the same claim. In Pittsburgh, when it comes to the Steelers, EVERYBODY cares.

It’s a remarkable thing. I definitely don’t appreciate football like a native does, but how can I not watch the game this Sunday? Steel City, I salute your passion. 16.
